Sigil is a raiding guild on Alliance Aman'thul made up of mature, working professionals based mostly in Singapore and other GMT+8 countries. We aim to progress through content while maintaining a friendly but focused atmosphere. Real life always comes before WoW, but we strive to make the most of our play time by maximizing our efforts for every fight.
Our raid schedule is catered to working professionals. Times listed are GMT+8 (Singapore time).
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9PM – 12MN
We have two main member ranks – Members (friends & family) and Core Raiders.
II. Member Expectations and General Rules
All guild members are expected to be courteous and friendly to each other and the rest of the server.
Members may be invited to raids when slots are available.
Rudeness and offensive language reflects badly on the guild and should be avoided.
Rage-quitting from guild groups and server pugs – if you need to leave, let the group know first.
Ninja looting in guild groups or server pugs.
Whining about loot. We are a small guild so you will win the item eventually.
III. Core Raider Expectations
In addition, Core Raiders are expected to:
Be online and ready for raid invite at the scheduled time.
Come prepared for raids. Read up on boss fights, bring food/flasks, be at 100% durability.
Have the necessary addons so you can maximize your performance.
Gear should be optimized and properly enchanted/gemmed.
Have a good attitude - be respectful and tolerant. Drama queens/loot whores not welcome.
Maintain 75% raid attendance (9 raids/month).
Have a stable internet connection.
On sitting out: Although we maintain a lean raid roster, please understand that there are times where we may need a Core Raider to sit out for composition purposes. We do our best to make sure you never sit out two raids in a row.
If you are asked to sit out, we will count you as having attended the raid if you remain contactable and ready to come online if we require it.
On extended absence: If you aren’t able to attend raids for an extended period, please notify an officer. If your absence leads to a drop in attendance to less than 75% over four weeks, you will be demoted to Member. Once you are back and hit the 75% attendance requirement, we will promote you to Core Raider again (provided you still meet all the other requirements).
IV. Loot system
We run a loot council.
V. Joining Sigil
All potential Core Raiders will need to post an application on our forums and go through a trial period. If your application is approved, we will invite you to the guild and grant you Trial Raider status. The trial period will generally last at least four weeks, or as long as we need to be convinced that you are Core Raider quality.
As a Trial Raider, you are expected to have read up on the encounters and come to the raid fully prepared with addons, flasks, food and other consumables. You will be allowed to /roll on any items that Core Raiders do not need.
Throughout the trial, the officers will give you feedback on your performance and attitude. Please do not take any criticism personally – we are trying to help you perform better so you can become a Core Raider.
At the end of the trial, if we find that your performance has been unsatisfactory, you may choose to remain in the Guild as a casual Member.
